Some of these boys in Malawi are dying from HIV/AIDS. My friend, Andrea, plays soccer with them. Makes them smile. She took this picture 2 Saturdays ago.

Sport can heal.

Andrea is an anthropologist studying the cultural impact of HIV/AIDS and other things in Malawi. In a land void of playgrounds, she’s found a way to connect with kids and play a sport she loves. She’s having fun and leading a revolution of smiles – in a land desperately looking for hope.

Makes me think about what kind of picture I’m leaving behind. Am I a revolution? Are you?
